Regardless is Windows or any Linux distribution I never got it why you had to flash the original router’s firmware and install the DD-WRT one – this time in Linux – using a terminal window when you could’ve get into its menu using its configuration IP?! Why did you make it more complicated when it could’ve been simpler?!
Sitting outside in the run looks fun.
i love how the intro was recorded with a green screen

I did everything explained on the video and I do see the network on the list, however it is a “local only” network without internet. Do I need to set up more parameters in order for the internet to kick in? Thanks
Does anyone know if I could use this on a password-protected network, making it unprotected?
A guide to making so that they have the same SSID and the computer switches between networks without user input would be wonderful and very much appreciated.
@crocapy1 u cant use that router.
Oh you just used a second router as a teather…..there are alot more simple ways of doing this you know?
this can also be done running on VM ware
This worked like a charm with my Belkin F5D7230-4 v1112. I still followed along with the hardware specifics off the Dd-Wrt wiki just to be safe…but this was EXCELLENT. thanks so much!
i got a Linksys wireless-G acces Point, model Wap54g 3.1. it is supported but there is no firmware for it, can i use it then?
